Music Lessons with Teaher Ms. Penny

My passion is music, and it is a thrill for me to see children and adults discover their joy in music-making, and happy learning. I was certified in 1989 and taught the Music for Young children program by Francis Balodis, for nearly 20 years. I have studied the violin in the Suzuki method up to Volume 5. I was singing before i could talk, according to my mother...and have studied under a variety of teachers, involved in multiple musicals and choirs. Singing IS a vital part of my daily life. I have enjoyed learning skills needed in becoming a recording artist. Song-writing has become a recognized gift, and passion. I wish to acknowledge God for giving us the gift of music. It is wonderful to explore, but not complete in itself, until it is shared.

I teach piano, any level, and beginner levels in violin, fiddle, and voice. I believe very strongly in ear training, as well as note reading. Composing is a concept we all can explore, which allows our creative expression to grow. I like to organize opportunities for my students to share their developing talents in the community, so we will visit care homes during the winter, and finish the year with a recital. Exams through Conservatory Canada, and festival opportunities can be set up, for those in grade levels.

Piano lessons:

30 min. 3 wks/mo. with the 4th lesson being a 1 hr group lesson with 2 or 3 other students, so that we will be comfortable sharing our music in an intimate group setting.

1. Private classical training 30 min. lessons 3x/mo. and the 4th week being a group setting up to 4 other students I prefer to use the

2. Fiddling in a group setting with a minimum of 4 students for 50 minutes per week.

2. Two post-dated cheques, each $240.00, dated Oct. 1 and Feb. 1
